The Outset Foundation is a charity established to relieve unemployment, poverty and financial hardship through enabling the provision of job creation, enterprise start-up and growth support services in communities across the UK.
What will The Outset Foundation deliver?
The Outset Foundation is particularly focused on enabling the continuation and expansion of award-winning Outset (c) services around the UK, in order to help disadvantaged people living in deprived areas to change their futures. Every £1 million raised by the Foundation is eligible to be doubled by European funds and will enable us to create over 25,000 sustainable jobs that transform lives and strengthen local communities. What is Outset?
Outset is an enterprise start-up support service, established in 2009 to help stimulate economic development, financial and social inclusion through the creation of sustainable jobs and businesses. Offering a flexible and client-focused program of workshops, mentoring and coaching, Outset empowers people to take charge of their lives through restoring their self-esteem and confidence to overcome barriers. It gives them the skills and knowledge needed to test and start their own enterprises and provides support for sustainability and growth for further job creation.
The Outset Foundation is overseen by an advisory committee and a board of trustees including Tim Jones, Rodney Baker-Bates, Naomi Sadler-Bridge and Kate Willard.
